This foley or soundscape is constructed from sounds found in the environment. Water, sirens, speech, birdsong, breath and the human heart. Our own found sound recordings are enhanced by two recordings from the Earthsound Project, which renders the seismic sounds of the earth audible.
This recording plays in the gallery space at levels low enough to perhaps not be noticed at first, but present enough to become an integral component of the installation experience.

We would like to thank JT Bullitt from the beautiful Earthsound Project for permission to use two sounds from the archives in this work.
"The Earthsound Project aims to bring the hidden natural sounds of Earth into conscious awareness. Sensitive seismometers and microbarometers detect the Earth's deep inaudible signals, which are then digitally transposed into audible sound and relayed live to listeners around the world via the Internet and via broadcast radio. "
